Marie Newman is running her second race to unseat one of the most right-wing Democrats in Congress. Newman came within 2,000 votes of winning in 2018, and we believe she can win in 2020. Newman supports Medicare for All, the Green New Deal, immigrants’ rights, universal childcare, a $15 federal minimum wage, global trade policies that respect workers’ rights and the environment and so much more.

Incumbent Dan Lipinski voted against the Dream Act and the Affordable Care Act. He has voted with Trump more than any other Democrat in the House. He also opposes the Green New Deal. A Newman victory will also encourage other truly progressive Democrats to challenge old-school incumbents who still put corporate interests first.
